1.   Earlier the minister had met with traders and chambers of commerce to discuss the setting up of these specialised trading companies.

2.   MINISTER of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said trading companies can forward their feedback on the setting up of specialised trading companies within one month.

3.   She said specialised trading companies can set up warehouses to undertake packaging, branding and relabelling products of small and medium scale manufacturers to sell globally.

4.   She added that these specialised trading companies can help small scale manufacturers who do not have the expertise to carry out branding.

5.   THE Government plans to establish specialised marketing companies to assist in promoting exports of small and medium-sized enterprises.

6.   These specialised trading companies will also have the necessary information in market intelligence, consumer taste and preferences and relate that to the manufacturer, she said.

7.   These specialised trading companies can also conduct multisourcing of imports for the SMIs, she added.

8.   Employing specialised private companies to check details such as price, quality and quantity of goods ordered abroad.
