The West Coast will be cool with showers likely as a large jet stream disturbance dives south into the deserts of the Southwest. 3. A cold front moved into the region overnight and will likely move south into the Caribbean coastal waters this afternoon and tonight. 4. Clouds and showers extend several hundred miles north to northeast into the Atlantic as well as over the Mona Passage and about fifty miles south into the Caribbean. 5. Clouds, with some showers, stretched in a broad band from the northern Great Lakes south into the Ohio and Tennessee valleys. 6. Drier conditions will return saturday and sunday as a high pressure system push the trough south into the caribbean. 7. Five of the getaway cars headed north on a highway toward Brasilia, police said, while three went south into Minas Gerais state. 8. High pressure kept the Plains fair but cool from the Dakotas south into Kansas and Oklahoma. 9. Moderate to heavy snow fell from central Minnesota, south into northern Missouri and southwestern Illinois. 10.
