6.   The expulsions were seen as a calculated rebuff to Akashi, who held talks with Bosnian leaders here Wednesday before meeting the Serb hierarchy in their Pale stronghold.

7.   The number two in the Serb hierarchy, Momcilo Krajisnik, who was present at the talks in Dayton, condemned the accord as soon as it was reached.
