1.   Five hundred militiamen were sent to the scene, but to no avail.

2.   Ali Mahdi Mohamed, who controls northern Mogadishu, said Gen. Mohamed Farrah Aidid had sent armed militiamen into the seaport in violation of their agreement.

3.   In exchange for their not supporting Zairian rebels, Mobutu will not send Hutu militiamen back to Rwanda.

4.   Under the agreement, the militiamen will be sent home along with surplus peshmerga.
