1.   As the bowlers work on it, the scar becomes deeper and wider with every sneaky scratch altering the aerodynamics.

2.   As more and more of the fibers link up, the scar becomes harder.

3.   In a keloid, the process continues long after the wound is covered over, and the scar can become quite large.

4.   The scrotum heals quickly, scars become almost invisible, and the procedure does not involve the penis.
