1.   I like to rub the lamb with cumin, which gives it a distinctive Middle Eastern flavor.

2.   Meanwhile, rub lamb with cumin, salt and pepper.

3.   Rub the lamb with any excess bacon and herb mixture.

4.   Rub the lamb liberally with the marinade.

5.   Rub the lamb all over with remainder of the olive oil.

6.   Rub the lamb with the olive oil, herbs, salt and pepper.

7.   Turn and rub lamb so it is evenly coated with the ingredients.

8.   Use the rest to rub lamb all over, inside and out.
