1.   After college he taught English and remedial reading in the New York City public school system, a job he took to avoid being drafted for the Vietnam War.

2.   After just two years, the number of children needing remedial reading was reduced considerably.

3.   Droves of teen-agers and young adults have been signing up for summer school, from remedial reading and math to advanced-placement courses and exotic enrichment programs.

4.   The next year she received a special certificate for reading in special education programs in the area of remedial reading.

5.   Zeysing is a parent, and she teaches remedial reading in Blue Springs schools.
