1.   The dollar was little changed against the yen and the deutsche mark in Asian trading amid receding expectations for higher U.S. interest rates.

2.   Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar slipped against the Japanese yen on receding expectations for an immediate U.S. interest rate increase.

3.   Receding expectations of another U.S. interest rate increase, combined with signs that German interest rates might increase are combining to pressure the dollar, dealers said.

4.   The dollar hardly moved because of receding expectations the U.S. central bank would immediately raise interest rates, said Masahiro Yamaguchi, a Tokai Bank dealer.

5.   The U.S. dollar slipped against the Japanese yen on receding expectations for an immediate U.S. interest rate increase.

6.   Receding positive expectations for fresh policy measures, now under discussion by the government, also pressured the broader market, dealers said.
