2.   After many months, Craig won the confidence of one of the accusing witnesses, who recanted his account.

3.   But Ms. Steele then recanted that account and gave an affidavit in the Paula Jones sexual misconduct lawsuit denying that Ms. Willey had ever told her of the incident.

4.   He recanted his account within days and was released after his arrest.
