1.   In a somewhat surprising move, the Mets recalled infielder Jason Hardtke from Class AAA Norfolk and optioned left-hander Joe Crawford to the Tides.

2.   Pittsburgh recalled infielder Mark Johnson from Triple-A Calgary to replace him on the roster.

3.   The Indians recalled infielder Damian Jackson from Triple-A Buffalo to take his spot on the roster.

4.   The Milwaukee Brewers recalled infielder Tim Unroe from Triple-A Tucson to replace injured second baseman Fernando Vina.

5.   The Rockies recalled infielder Craig Counsell from their Triple-A affiliate in Colorado Springs.

6.   The Yankees also recalled infielder Homer Bush from their Triple-A affiliate in Columbus.

7.   To replace him on the roster, the Brewers recalled infielder Antone Williamson from Triple-A Tucson.

8.   Chicago recalled infielders Julio Zuleta, Chad Meyers and Augie Ojeda and purchased the contract of catcher Mike Mahoney from Iowa.

9.   Houston recalled infielder Keith Ginter from Triple-A New Orleans.

10.   Milwaukee recalled infielder Mark Sweeney from Triple-A Indianapolis to replace Hernandez.
