1.   The punitive verdict came after approximately five hours of deliberations over two days.

2.   After the punitive verdict, individual plaintiffs were allowed to seek compensatory damages on their own.

3.   Circuit Judge Robert Kaye concluded the award was reasonable and did not violate a Florida law which prevents a punitive verdict from bankrupting a defendant.

4.   Under Florida law, a punitive verdict cannot bankrupt a defendant.
