1.   An obligatory tornado watch was posted for east North Carolina Wednesday as Hurricane Bonnie approached land.

2.   A flash-flood watch was posted for a region northwest of Fairbanks.

3.   A hurricane watch has been posted in Florida from Sebastian Inlet, south of Melbourne, northward to Fernandina Beach near the Georgia border.

4.   A tropical storm watch was posted at noon for the Cayman Islands.

5.   Flash flood watches were quickly posted around Hilo.

6.   Flood watches were posted Friday morning for southeast Texas as a tropical disturbance over the Gulf of Mexico came ashore.

7.   Further offshore, ships are not bound to heed warnings about whales or recommendations to post a watch for the whales.

8.   Hurricane watches have been posted as far north as the North Carolina-Virginia state line.

9.   Other flash flood watches were posted today in southeast Pennsylvania, northern Delaware and extreme northeast Maryland.

10.   Rain continued falling Monday across much of northern Texas, and tornado watches were posted Monday morning across the eastern and central portions of the state and eastern Arkansas.
