1.   Extortionists who have tried to ratchet up the pressure by placing poisoned products in supermarkets have sometimes warned companies where to look for them.

2.   Police investigating an extortion attempt against the Nestle food giant discovered a tube of mustard laced with cyanide and another poisoned product in two supermarkets Tuesday.

3.   According to police, Nestle had received a warning on Monday, which said poisoned products had been placed on supermarket shelves in Baden-Wuerttemberg on Saturday.

4.   The company said the poisoned product could be easily identified by its sharp nauseating odor.

5.   Thus far no poisoned products have been found.
