1.   According to Californian researchers, increased ultraviolet radiation from the ozone hole above Antarctica is scarcely having any effect on the growth of marine plankton in the ocean below.

2.   It adjoins Pah Beach, where later at night an invasion of plankton in the shallows will stage a spectacular light show.

3.   The researchers found they could track this by studying the proportion of freshwater plankton to saline plankton in a given core section.

4.   Scientists also will sample water, silt and plankton in the wreckage area.

5.   Each crew has a special container to collect samples of sea water for laboratory analysis to determine levels of salination and the nature of plankton in each sector.
