1. Place one cake on a serving plate, spike all over with a skewer and lace with half the kirsch. 2. Dust your working surface with icing sugar or cornflour to prevent sticking and place the cake upside down on the surface. 3. Brush the cake with apricot glaze and place the cake on the cake drum. 4. Children would combine the mix with water, fill the little pan, open a tiny oven door and place the cake under the light bulb. 5. If using a springform pan, place the cake, still in the pan, on a plate to catch the drips. 6. Place cake on a rack, and cool to room temperature. 7. Place the cake on a greased baking sheet. 8. Place cake on a wax paper-lined rimmed baking sheet. 9. Place cake on plate and spread icing over top and sides. 10. Place cake, seam side down, on an oval or rectangular serving platter. |
