1.   Before you replace it, clean the two pipe ends thoroughly with wire wool, then brush on flux.

2.   Then cut back the pipe tails to the old radiator position, and cap off the pipe ends.

3.   Apply a coating of flux to the pipe end and to the inside of the fitting.

4.   Brush the joint compound around the pipe ends, using just enough to fill the threads evenly.

5.   He may well be a good choice to handle the pipe end of the DEP mandate.

6.   Pull the pieces apart and apply a coat of solvent to the pipe end and a coat to the inside of the fitting.

7.   Place the fitting over the pipe end.
