1.   Boxer responded by introducing legislation, which she has promised to push on the Senate floor, to stop paying convicts.

2.   In the statement, the Pentagon admitted that all military convicts are paid until their first appeals are decided by commanders.

3.   The Dayton Daily News, which in December reported that the military pays armed forces convicts in prison, has found several parolees who get government checks.

4.   The convicts are paid by a private company to assemble computer components.
