1.   Last November, voters in California and Arizona passed initiatives which allow the use of pot for medicinal purposes.

2.   Arizona voters passed an initiative that would replace bilingual education with one-year immersion classes meant to bring pupils up to speed in English.

3.   A Democratic majority would restore his subcommittee chairmanship and open the opportunity for passing Democratic initiatives that have no chance in a Republican Congress, he said.
