1.   This is still a relatively light machine, but the weight is equivalent to a conventional half-sheet orbital sander.

2.   A little orbital sander will not work.

3.   A random orbital sander is a good tool for flat areas.

4.   But hope springs eternal, and you might compromise by renting a square plate sander, a floor sander but without the drum, like an enormous orbital sander.

5.   Other useful hand power tools include a circular power saw, a saber saw, and an orbital sander, and possibly a chain saw.

6.   The orbital sander is essential if you are into finishing furniture or woodwork.

7.   Use an orbital sander, with coarse paper first, medium second, and fine third.
