2.   On Thursday, the Angels will temporarily option left-handed pitcher Matt Perisho to Triple-A Vancouver and recall left-handed pitcher Darrell May.

3.   The Angels optioned left-handed pitcher Pete Janicki to Triple-A Vancouver.

4.   The Angels optioned left-handed pitchers Jarrod Washburn and Scott Schoeneweis to triple-A Edmondton on Thursday.

5.   The Brewers also called up pitcher Greg Hansell and optioned pitcher Jamie McAndrew to Tucson.

6.   The Florida Marlins optioned pitcher Antonio Alfonseca to Triple-A Charlotte.

7.   The Orioles also optioned right-handed pitcher Hector Ramirez to their Triple-A Rochester affiliate and sent right-hander Brian Williams to their minor-league camp.

8.   To make room on the roster, the Orioles optioned pitcher Esteban Yan to Triple-A Rochester of the International League.

9.   Unhappy with him as a left-handed setup reliever, the Rangers optioned pitcher John Rocker to Triple-A Oklahoma and called up rookie left-hander Randy Flores.
