1.   A spokesman for Kaifa Technology, headquartered in Kwai Chung, said the firm operated a factory in Shenzhen, where it assembled components for computer hard disk drives.

2.   Fiberite operates factories in Arizona, Texas, California, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Delaware, as well as in Germany and France.

3.   GM executives have insisted that they need to continue cutting costs to stay competitive with foreign automakers operating nonunion factories in the United States.
