1.   Open ditches drain very efficiently.

2.   But two attempts with the mechanical snake did not open the drain.

3.   I reach my hand in to open the drain and I come up with a handful of undissolved rock salt, which greatly resembles broken windshield glass.

4.   Then open the drain and see what happens.
