1.   If an oak threshold is on the floor between the jambs, it must be removed.

2.   Q. The varnish on my exterior oak threshold is wearing off.

3.   Q. The oak threshold in my front door was varnished, and looked good for a while, but it is now wearing off and peeling.

4.   So the handyman simply set an oak threshold level below the folding doors, filling in under the level threshold with scrap lumber.

5.   These problems can be corrected with the use of oak thresholds placed in the door openings to make the transition easier and better looking.

6.   You can do the same with an oak threshold.
