1.   On his way drunkenly from the pub to the wood one night he fell down a railway embankment on to the line.

2.   The long car ride through the cold night woods flowed back into his mind.

3.   But he adheres to the basic tale of two young couples who enter the woods one night and the bewitchment that befalls them.

4.   The other man in the woods that night, John Carmelo, who hosted the party, received a no-jail term for serving alcohol to minors.
