1.   The factory here produced a limited number of its first working microprocessors on the new wafer size in March.

2.   Two new wafer plants started operation this year and will ramp up production next year.

3.   Government-backed local firms are to pour billion of dollars into new wafer plants.

4.   Sasaki said that along with evaluation of new semiconductor raw materials, the venture would develop new wafers and technologies to replace existing lithography-based technology.
