1.   Acute interstitial nephritis and nephrotic syndrome have been reported but evidence of chronic nephropathy is lacking.

2.   Clinical presentation has been with acute nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, or renal failure.

3.   Lomu has been diagnosed as suffering from nephrotic syndrome which causes chronic kidney damage.
