3.   Another in a series of Pacific fronts will bring patchy rain and mountain snow from central California to the western parts of Washington and Oregon.

4.   Another Pacific front will bring coastal rain and mountain snow to the Northwest.

5.   As a result, the water content that is locked in the mountain snow is also at record levels.

6.   As a result, locally heavy mountain snow will spread from Utah Tuesday to northern Arizona and western Colorado Wednesday.

7.   As moist Pacific air is forced to rise by the sloping terrain, heavy rain and heavy mountain snow will result.
