1.   An upper level low-pressure system will cause valley showers and mountain snow across eastern Nevada, Utah and northern Arizona on Wednesday.

2.   Another in a series of disturbances will approach the Pacific Northwest with coastal rain showers and mountain snow.

3.   Another in a series of Pacific fronts will bring patchy rain and mountain snow from central California to the western parts of Washington and Oregon.

4.   Another Pacific front will bring coastal rain and mountain snow to the Northwest.

5.   As a result, the water content that is locked in the mountain snow is also at record levels.

6.   As a result, locally heavy mountain snow will spread from Utah Tuesday to northern Arizona and western Colorado Wednesday.

7.   As moist Pacific air is forced to rise by the sloping terrain, heavy rain and heavy mountain snow will result.

8.   As the Pacific moisture streams eastward, valley showers and mountain snow will occur along the west-facing slopes of the central Rockies.

9.   As the moist winds impinge upon west-facing mountain slopes, locally heavy mountain snow will be common from the Cascades to the central and northern Rockies.

10.   At the same time, unseasonably chilly air will surge into the Rocky Mountain states accompanied by numerous showers and areas of mountain snow.
