2.   Brick buildings do not leak, unless they are poorly built, or the mortar deteriorates enough to let water in.

3.   Q. The mortar is deteriorating in my chimney that comes up through the roof, but only from the roof up.

4.   Q. The stone and brick in my basement foundation needs repointing because the mortar is deteriorating and coming out of the cracks.
