1.   Against Slovenia, Jozic will be missing star defender Igor Tudor, who plays for Italian Serie A club Juventus.

2.   Besides Zola and Baggio, the team is missing Juventus defender Ciro Ferrara, who is sidelined with a broken leg and is unlikely to start in France.

3.   Feyenoord also will be missing Australian defender Brett Emerton, who picked up his second yellow card in the UEFA Cup semifinal against Inter Milan.

4.   In Lyon, France, Lyon will be without suspended defender David Linares and Christian Bassila, and Brugges will miss suspended defender Tjorven de Brul.

5.   Inter, second in Serie A to Juventus, will miss veteran defender Guiseppe Bergomi to suspension.

6.   Juventus should get midfielders Zinedine Zidane and Antonio Conte but may miss Uruguayan defender Paolo Montero may be absent because of a leg muscle problem.

7.   Last week, the Czech club carried most of the play against the German giant and will only miss defender Petr Lukas through injury.

8.   Mali was also missing defender Samba Diawara through injury.

9.   Milan was cautious in the first half as it missed key defenders Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta and Franco Baresi and rested strikers George Weah and Marco Simone.

10.   Schalke will be missing Dutch defender Johan de Kock and German international Thomas Linke.
