1.   Their house was too small to put us up so we stayed in a new motor camp a few miles further along the road, in Portobello.

2.   The Thames Barrier is half a mile further towards the sea.

3.   At the end of each day they moved just a few miles further and walked just a few miles further.

4.   They continue a few miles further to Sparks where they spend the night before boarding the train the next morning for the return trip.
