1.   Freedom for the eye to cross fences and barriers for mile after mile.

2.   Mile after mile, country after country, the sun ripens grass stems and seeds across the northern hemisphere.

3.   We built roads and villages and brought rubber trees and planted them for mile after mile through your wild land.

4.   We passed mile after mile of beautiful scenery as we drove through the country.

5.   And so into the night I skated, step after step, mile after mile.

6.   And they have to drive tired, pushing mile after mile on a few hours of sleep, sometimes just to break even.

7.   After traversing mile after mile of dry, yellow fields, you come on castle walls that rise magically from the dusty plain.

8.   All of this gives me hope, as I churn out a couple of miles just after dawn each morning.

9.   Eventually, miles after first crossing the Bear Run stream, the turnoff for Fallingwater is reached.

10.   For mile after mile north of the Adirondack Mountains, you can gaze at the forests lining the superhighway that links Albany with Montreal.
