1.   Allied Pilots President James Sovich has said the union board will first decide whether the recommended settlement is acceptable before putting it to a membership vote.

9.   Safeway Inc. said it reached a tentative contract agreement with union officials in British Columbia and a membership vote on the plan will be completed this week.
