1.   In CHICAGO, hog and pork belly futures fell on concern that meatpackers are slowing purchases because of narrowing profit margins.

2.   Last week, meatpackers were aggressive buyers of the market-ready cattle from feedlots and livestock auctions, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

3.   Meatpackers currently are well-supplied, which could limit gains.

4.   Now, analysts said, there are indications that meatpackers were unable to store any significant amount of bellies this week.
