1.   A third measure will allow small slaughterhouses to use larger slaughterhouses to provide their veterinary supervision.

2.   That measure would not allow states to take over the food stamp program.

3.   Already, Sen. Hank Brown, Republican of Colorado and a sincere believer in term limits, has proposed a measure to allow states to set their own limits.

4.   Among other provisions, the measure would allow the State Department to deny visas to members of groups suspected of terrorism or who come from countries that sponsor terrorism.

5.   Among other things, the measure would allow private companies to perform more of the routine maintenance of military equipment.

6.   Another measure will allow such detainees to appeal their incarceration to the U.S. Supreme Court.

7.   Another measure would allow the House to decide whether it wanted to go ahead with provisions forcing television stations to charge the lowest possible rate for political advertising.

8.   Another measure would allow the government to accept dollars as tax payments and to pay employees with dollars.

9.   Another measure will allow such detainees to appeal their incarceration up to the U.S. Supreme Court.

10.   Another opponent, Sen. Orrin G. Hatch, R-Utah, said the measure would allow federal officials to usurp the power of local law enforcement officials.
