1.   A lead masonry anchor is then set into the top of the concrete, after which a metal support bracket is fastened to this.

2.   In the masonry sector, Dayton makes wall reinforcement products and masonry anchors.

3.   Sometimes masonry anchors work well, but anchors are not always as secure as screws driven into studs.

4.   To use masonry anchors, drill a hole in the mortar and insert the anchor, which is made of fiber, lead or other malleable material.

5.   Use masonry anchors for the screws, and screw into the mortar, not the brick.
