1.   Mash mixture, adding just enough milk to make a thick puree.

2.   Mash mixture with your hands, then pat down into a layer.

3.   Mash the mixture to a smooth consistency.

4.   Mash mixture with a fork and set aside.

5.   Use a potato masher to mash the mixture slightly.

6.   Using a potato masher, mash potato mixture until fairly smooth.
