1.   A well defined form According to my dictionary, a tree can be any perennial plant having a self-supporting woody main stem.

2.   Its rigid main stem needs no support, even when loaded with flowers and pods.

3.   Many branches are produced on the main stems.

4.   Multi-sprouting will induce more main stems which produce a larger number of small tubers.

5.   Only occasionally does it become necessary to cut out main stems, such as when they become old, gnarled and barky.
