1.   The Mercury service has been launched by Cable and Wireless and US West, the American phone company.

2.   A NEW bus service was launched yesterday, heralding the start of a campaign to see less cars in the North York Moors National Park.

3.   CAPEL-Cure Myers has launched a service which monitors the opportunities to invest in Business Expansion Scheme companies before the end of the current tax year.

4.   American Personal Communications, an affiliate of Sprint Spectrum, was the first company to offer PCS in the U.S. when it launched its service in November.

5.   And it has launched wireless services, so customers can trade via cell phones and other handheld devices.

6.   And it is launching service on the Nashville-Detroit route with three daily round trips.

7.   And while the companies talked of launching service later this year, no date is going to be set until those other questions are answered.

8.   Another Globalstar challenger is the reborn Iridium, which plans to launch commercial service by the end of this month.

9.   AOL will next look to launch services in Switzerland, Austria and Scandinavia.

10.   As previously reported, TCI also expects to launch phone service in the Bay Area, in an alliance with Sprint, by year-end.
