1.   A lottery has been used only rarely in the past to distribute precious landing slots at overcrowded airports.

2.   A possible destination for Shuttle America flights from Hanscom is LaGuardia Airport in New York City - one of the few at which landing slots are restricted.

3.   Delta also hopes to add service from Portland to Osaka and Fukuokacq, where landing slots are available.

4.   Eagle gained the coveted takeoff and landing slots with its purchase of Business Express earlier this year.
