1.   At one point last week the lake was rising six inches an hour.

2.   Large quantities of rain and snow in February caused the lake to rise.

3.   The lake would rise, spilling over the dam and eroding the earthen embankment to the point of collapse.

4.   The lake is rising high enough that it is covering vegetation that has been exposed for years.

5.   This has been a weird spring for fishing, made so by large quantities of precipitation that are causing Arizona lakes to rise.
