1.   But calls for readmitting Iraq into Arab ranks have grown since Baghdad officially recognized Kuwaiti sovereignty late last year.

10.   Egypt, which backed the coalition in the Gulf War, on Tuesday called on Iraq to make a formal recognition of Kuwaiti sovereignty.
