1.   All over Russia there are Hebrew schools and universities, Lubavitch communities and soup kitchens and kosher shops.

2.   If a kosher shop seems out of the way, ask your local grocery store if it can order one for you.

3.   If you want to open a kosher shop or restaurant, you have to get a rabbinical seal of approval, known in Hebrew as a hechsher.

4.   There were Jewish schools called cheder, synagogues, kosher shops, and mikvehs -- ritual baths.
