1.   Colin Mitchell will judge the entries each week.

2.   Entries will be judged by the Publicity Committee and the winner will be notified by post.

3.   These entries will be judged, in a lighthearted manner, later in the evening when the three experts speak about them.

4.   A friend and fellow pageant observer helped judge the entries.

5.   All entries will be judged by a panel that is not affiliated with Humpus Bumpus Books.

6.   Entries will be judged on creativity, credibility and how well the subject of ice cream is woven into the story.

7.   Entries are judged in several categories, from western to detective, science fiction and romance.

8.   Entries will be judged on taste and the challenge presented to convert from full fat to fat free.

9.   Loretta Swit, Earl Holliman and JoAnne Worley will be among those judging the entries.

10.   Of course, as with all awards shows, they are to recuse themselves from judging entries submitted by their own agencies.
