1.   It authorizes funding for the Treasury and Justice Departments to train local law enforcement agencies in investigating church arsons, but does not provide new funding.

2.   Sheriff Neal Klyce of Crockett County said his department was continuing to investigate the arson along with federal agents and the Tennessee fire marshal.

3.   Police are investigating possible arson.

4.   Police spokesman Capt. Morne van Wyk said arson would be investigated, but this was routine in cases where extensive damage was caused.

5.   Fire officials asked police to investigate possible arson.
