1.   Cellular plastic has a high insulation value, four times greater than similar timber products.

2.   Heating and cooling efficiency was another prime concern in the renovation, starting with insulation values of exterior walls and the all-new windows.

3.   More loose fill must then be added to compensate for the loss in insulation value.

4.   The result is a sturdy wall, high in insulation value, of rustic beauty.

5.   This, however, will only compress the air pockets between the fibers and reduce their insulation value.
