1.   In larger cities, ties to the land are less important and homogenizing influences have a greater impact.

2.   The outside influences have no bearing on what you can do for your basketball team....

4.   But Singapore and Hong Kong are in tropical zones, so perhaps Confucian influence does have a positive effect.
