1.   Add flour and stir well until all the flour is incorporated into the mixture.

2.   Add the sugar, vanilla, flour and salt, and whisk again until the flour is incorporated.

3.   Add the flour and salt, and work the mixture with your fingers or a pastry blender until all the flour is incorporated.

4.   Add flour mixture, blending just to incorporate flour.

5.   Incorporate the flour on low speed, adding the rest of the flour in two batches, turning the machine off when flour is added.

6.   Knead lightly until all the flour is incorporated.

7.   Place ball on floured board and incorporate more flour if necessary, by sprinkling it over ball by the tablespoon.

8.   Slowly incorporate the flour, stirring constantly.
