1.   Dow Chemical has thus far refused to contribute anything toward settling implant claims.

2.   If Dow Corning wins that trial, the bankruptcy judge then could dismiss implant claims as worthless.

3.   In May, it had sought bankruptcy court protection, freezing thousands of breast implant claims pending against it.

4.   Reinert argues that insurance policies covering breast implant claims and birthing cup claims must be separate.

5.   Since it filed for bankruptcy protection, Dow Corning has said it will push for a stricter medical review of implant claims as part of the reorganization process.

6.   The Nevada Supreme Court has ruled that Dow Chemical can be sued over breast implant claims against Dow Corning.

7.   Without some alternative resolution, implant claims against it could eventually be handled in bankruptcy court.
