1.   After the shooting, Israeli reporters received beeper messages signed Ain, a Hebrew acronym for the Israeli Avenging Organization, a previously unknown group.

2.   Immediately after the assassination, Eyal, a Hebrew acronym for Fighting Jewish Organization, claimed responsibility for it.

3.   The yellow-vested Orthodox religious volunteers, known by the Hebrew acronym ZAKA, arrived for their grisly task of scraping up human remains for burial.

4.   The GSS is also known by its Hebrew acronym as Shin Bet.
