1.   Every school, even the smallest primary school, should also have a governor from local industry or commerce.

2.   Here you had the governor of a state in a federal system choosing to act in a particular way and the president overriding him and demonstrating his power.

3.   And he almost never let his eyes stray to the prosecution table, where assistant U.S. Attorney David Schindler had the governor clearly in his sights.

4.   All four of the target states have Republican governors.

5.   All eight mountain states have Republican governors.

6.   Both states have Democratic governors and have backed the Democratic candidate in the last three presidential elections.

7.   Both states have Republican governors.

8.   Conferences have never seemed to energize Bush as they have some governors.

9.   Democrats seem to have fallen behind in Kansas and Oklahoma, both of which now have Democratic governors who are leaving office.

10.   Four of the five have Republican governors, and Republican candidates have made gains at every electoral level over the last few years.
